Artist's Comments

The idea was to make a painting of ourselves with the animal that we picked. I picked a snake for numerous reasons. Can you guess them?

I don't think it's wonderful per say, but, I do like it very much. Especially the snake body part and the arm scales. Those are marvelous.

Acrylics and oil pastels (I hate those damn things). Critisism would be nice ^^

criticism? can't think of any really, except maybe that the mouth being a cavernous black hole isn't ideal in such a realistic painting. Really, that's my phallacy, not yours! Love the texture of the coils, but it's a little at odds with the texture of the background. darn oil pastels, eh?

Nice one. The scales are great, so is the hair. The eyes are kinda creepy, very chupacabra.

actually, i really dig this. i like how the face was done the most. it's got a nice reptilian look to it (no offense if that's just how your face is, if it is, i share your bad face pain. the key is to just laugh it off and hide it with a beard. beards solve all life's problems.)

but yes, i really do like this. and i really dig the concept. i like the choice of a snake.

Thank you very much :) No, thats not actually how my face looks. I actually tried for that effect! However, I think I show grow a beard anyway, seeing how they solve all life's problems.

i'm serious when i say that.
i passed bio because me and my teacher both had soul patches. it's great to rub while you ponder. and i was pondering about dropping the course and then he came by and handed a paper out to me, and then he noticed my soul patch, and he rubbed his.

i slept through 2/3 of that course.
i got a 65-70 because we were always rockin' the soul patch.

true story.
